Malacca Nutp New Office

My wife and I went to Malacca Nutp Office during December 2016.

Although we had retired for years but we both are Nutp life member.

This selfie photo was taken at Nutp new office. The old office is at level three of a building in Melaka Raya.

The new office is at ground floor of a building in Durian Daun. Now, the Nutp members no need to climb up to third floor.

Whether you are already retired or still in service, you should be a member of Nutp in order to protect yourself.

Solidarity among teachers is a must to fight for the rights of teachers, respectively.

Diftong And Vocal Berganding

I was shocked to know that SJKC year 3 pupils have to learn diftong and vokal berganding in Bahasa Malaysia.

Who is the crazy person made this stupid decision?

What are diftong and vokal berganding?

Diftong: ai, au, oi.
Example: tupai, pisau, sepoi.

Vokal berganding: aa, ai, au, ia, iu, ua, ui.
Example: saat, naik, lauk, diam, tiup, jual, duit.

How to differentiate diftong and vokal berganding?

Diftong: Read as one syllable and pronounce fast. Kedai=ke+dai, pulau=pu+lau, amboi=am+boi.

Vokal berganding: Have to read seperately as two syllables. baik=ba+ik, kaum=ka+um, liar=li+ar, luas=lu+as.

Year 3 pupils are small kids. They are not phonetics experts. In fact they know the syllables and able to read simple words of BM, that's more than enough.

729 Segamat Bid For Chinese High School Rally

Following the Selangor Kajang 325 rally protest shortage of teachers in SJKC, the Pahang Kuantan 520 bid for Chinese high school rally, Chinese educationists again showed up in 729 Segamat rally.

The rally is to request a Chinese high school to be built in Segamat. Quite many celebrities turned up for the rally. They were Ser Lai Hing, Tan Tai Kim, Lee Cheng Chuan, Bakri MP Er Teck Hwa, Dong Zong President Yap Sin Tian and Dong Zong Deputy President Chow Siew Hon.

The Organizing Chairperson Ser Lai Hing led the speaker line-up. Other speakers to address the crowd were Batu Pahat Chinese High School Board of Director President Tan Tai Kim, Segamat Chinese High School Coordinating Committee President Lee Cheng Chuan and Dong Zong President Yap Sin Tian.

Has been used to relax and leisure life style, we woke up early in the morning and hurried to Segamat. When passing by Tangkak, we stopped there to enjoy the famous Tangkak beef noodles. Before returning to Merlimau, we had high tea at Segamat Old Taste Cafe.

Angry Bird Protests Against The Injustice Of BN

The response of 325 protest rally on short of teachers in SJKC was truly overwhelming. It reveals that Chinese community fully supports the rally which had been held in Kajang New Era College. Even the Angry Bird which is very popular among the computer gamers also showed up during the rally.

As a component party of the ruling government, instead of upgrading Chinese education systematically, MCA plays the role as an opposition party and always begs for alms from UMNO. The dominant party of BN, UMNO will do whatever it could to marginalize Chinese schools in Malaysia. The useless MCA keeps on spoiling the soup in this issue.

Deputy Minister of Education Wee Ka Siong who turned up during the rally was greeted with boos and jeers. This incident unveiled the indignant of Malaysia Chinese residents. The explosive situation seems to be the jeopardy of BN in the 13th general election. It's funny that the extreme stubborn MCA won't realize this reality.

Chinese voters who are as angry as Angry Birds will punish MCA in coming general election.

PAS Mahfuz Omar Showed Up At 325 Rally

PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar was one of the PKR leaders who turned up for 325 meetup in Kajang New Era College on March 25.

The appearance of Mahfuz Omar at 325 protest rally indicates that PAS supports the education right of Chinese community. Facts speak louder than words, PAS and Chinese are vastly close related. All threats and intimidations affecting the harmony of PAS and Chinese will totally in vain.

MCA President Chua Soi Lek claimed himself as representative of Chinese community, prohibited his party members to participate the "Save Chinese Education Rally". The malicious intention of Chua Soi Lek to marginalize SJKC was significantly exposed.

Deputy Minister of Education Wee Ka Siong clarified that he had the approval from Prime Minister Najib Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to attend 325 rally. This revealed MCA is truly a parasite of UMNO.

325 Rally Protest Shortage Of Teachers In SJKC

The Malaysia long-awaited 325 protest rally on short of teachers in SJKC was exploded in Kajang New Era College.

The objective of the assembly was to protest the implementation of education policy that violated the 1996 Education Act.

Before becoming a trained teacher, I served as a temporary teacher. Now, I had retired for five years, the teacher shortage still exist in SJKC. Persistent shortage of teachers in SJKC, uncovers the trick of Barisan Nasional marginalized SJKC.

President of Dong Zong Yap Sin Tian revealed that protest activities will flare up throughout the country if the problem remains unsolved. The attendees threw out loud cheer to support the "Save Chinese Education Rally".

1Malaysia And Public Service Department Scholarship

The implementation of 1Malaysia idea is just like a tough nut to crack. Merely the determination of PSD scholars, dispute emerges between MCA Youth Chief Dr Wee Ka Siong and Minister in the Prime Minister Department Nazri Abdul Aziz.

Suppose Malaysians are not treated justly, any commitment is as if empty promise. It's undeniable that Primes Minister is determined to achieve the goal of 1Malaysia. The response seems to be an interesting story.

No matter how the slogan of 1Malaysia is shouted, if not fulfilled its mission then it's just same as the favorite fairy tale of children.

MCA Wee Ka Siong Challenges UMNO Nazri Aziz

MCA Youth Chief Dr Wee Ka Siong and Minister in the Prime Minister Department Nazri Abdul Aziz are involved in a war of words across the air. Their argument reveals the unsolved Public Service Department Scholarship problem.

What's wrong with Public Service Department in handling the selection of scholars for years. If not Deputy Minister of Education Dr Wee Ka Siong no need to appeal for the excellence pupils. This is the sad story of MCA not in power.

If 1Malaysia idea really had been implemented, Wee Ka Siong and Nazri wouldn't have to start a war through Media. Is this the consequence of MCA high-profile in politics? Well, it's truly interesting.

Malacca English Story Telling Contest 2009(01)

Malacca State Level English Story Telling Contest for primary school was held on 28/04/2009. The venue for this contest was at the auditorium of Merlimau Community College, Malacca. The organiser was Sekolah Kebangsaan Datuk Haji Baginda, Umbai, Merlimau, Malacca.

There were all together fourteen primary schools participated in this English Story Telling Contest. Here are some of the contestants' information.

This pretty Indian girl is Devaki. She is a pupil of SJKC Merlimau, Malacca. Her story is "The Singing Princess".

This contestant is Mirabelle Tan Wei Chi of SJKC Ting Hwa, Malacca. The story that presented by her is "The Honest Shepherd" with moral value of honesty.

Ho Zhuan Rui participated in this contest on behalf of SJKC Pay Chiao, Malacca. His story "Papina's Adventure" is really interesting.

This Malay boy with smiling face is M. Mirza Ismat Muzamil. He is from SK Alor Gajah 1, Malacca. The title of his story is "The Cuckoo Bird Princess".

NUTP Is The Protector Of Teachers In Malaysia

Before I retired from teaching, I was always not on the same track with my boss. Perhaps, this was because our frequencies were different.

Serving as a teacher for decades, I had encountered countless problems that were created by the school heads. Fortunately I was a member of the National Union Of Teaching Profession (NUTP), otherwise I would had been in hot water long ago.

It can't be denied that the NUTP is the "guardian" and "protector" of the teaching profession and education in Malaysia. If I am not the NUTP's member, my teaching life would be very miserable.

"Unity is strength" is a truth. The consequence of lack of unity is pitiful. If you are a Malaysian teacher and have not yet joined the NUTP, feel free to apply immediately to be protected.
