South Korean Colorful Knot

South Korean Colorful Knot
My son bought some South Korean snacks and souvenirs when he returned from Seoul. The above string knot is one of the souvenirs that he bought for me.

South Korean Colorful Knot
I believe that you may have seen the Chinese knot but not familiar with the South Korean knot. Both of them are using colorful strings to knit various folk stuffs. It's suitable to be used as adornment.

If you are fond of Chinese knot, feel free to compare the difference of these two knots and share your opinion.

Korean Ginseng Candy

My son returned home from South Korea for celebrating Chinese New Year. Besides buying green tea and custard pies, he also bought some ginseng candies.

I don't like the ginseng candy because it's a bit bitter. I just ate a few and my wife gave them to her friends. During our tour to South Korea, I bought a few jars of ginseng extract but didn't buy the ginseng candy.

When traveling in South Korea, remember to buy some ginseng products for yourself or your family and friends.

South Korea Rice Bowl And Chopsticks

South Korea Rice Bowl
The above photo is South Korea stainless steel bowl and chopsticks. Three set of bowls only cost 5000 Won. The bowl is not expensive but very useful, my wife really likes it.

During our tour to South Korea, we bought quite many snacks and souvenirs but didn't buy the stainless steel bowl and chopsticks. My wife was regret for some time, so she had to remind our son to buy for her when returned home.

South Korea Rice Bowl
The bowl with a cover has many uses. It can be used to put in a variety of items, including snacks, fruits, cakes, pastries, dessert, dishes, rice and soup. The chopsticks have been used for several years, until now they are still shining as newly bought.

South Korea Custard Pie

South Korea Custard Pie
My son returned from Seoul in December 2008. He brought back a full luggage of snacks and souvenirs. The above custard pie is one of the snacks that he bought for me.
South Korea Custard Pie
This custard pie is really delicious. The outside of the pie is a layer of soft cake and the filling is fragrant sweet custard.

South Korea Custard Pie
This is another type of pie. Its packaging and flavor is different from the custard pie.

South Korea Custard Pie
The outer layer of the pie was coated with a layer chocolate and the filling is marshmallow cream. This chocolate pie is not as soft as the custard pie but with a sweet chocolate taste.

Happy New Year 2010

Happy New Year 2010
As previous year, I publish a blog post on this special day.

In the year 2009, I didn’t commit any crime or have financial problems as well as being offered mega project, so police wouldn't arrest me, loan shark and MACC officer wouldn't knock at my door at midnight.

I am just an ordinary citizen without any vision but hope that the distinguished Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib would implement the 1Malaysia commitment effectively.
Finally, I would like to wish my blog visitors and friends a happy new year.
