Sabah Kota Kinabalu International Airport


KK International Airport

Sabah KK International Airport was at a standstill after the runway lights broke down. The airport was closed down for two nights after the incident.

Kota Kinabalu International Airport is the second busiest airport in Malaysia. The runway lights blackout caused many flight grounded. Thousands of passengers stranded at the airport.

We flied to KK in early October. Fortunately we had a pleasant trip and returned home safely.


KK International Airport

In case you have no transport when arrive at KK International Airport, you have to take a taxi to the hotel which you have booked. Most of KK hotel are located in KK city. The taxi fare from KK International Airport to KK city is RM 30.

Before boarding a taxi, you need to buy a ticket at the airport taxi counter. After buying the ticket, just walk out the airport entrance and you will see airport taxis waiting there.

As you can see from the photo, the airport taxis are white in color. Show the ticket to the taxi driver, he will bring you to the destination based on the information stated in the ticket.
