Kelantan Bachok Twin Dragons Wat


Twin Dragons Wat

Twin Dragons Wat is located in Bachok, Kelantan. The actual name of this wat is Wat Phothikyan but it's more familiar to tourists as Twin Dragons Wat.

The statue of twin dragons grabbing a pearl at the main gate is truly extraordinary. Based on Chinese folk custom, dragon is regarded as auspicious beast. Beyond that dragon was the status symbol of ancient emperor in China.


Stand Buddha

This Buddha statue is proudly erected at Twin Dragons Wat in Bachok of Kelantan. The height of this Buddha statue is about 39 m. The mercy Stand Buddha overlooks the land of Kelantan to ensure the well-being of Kelantanese.

There is an abundance of temples in Kelantan after PAS has ruled Kelantan for more than 20 years. This indicates that PAS government implements cultural diversity and freedom of religious belief.
