Hong Kong Sheung Wan


Wing Lok Street

After savoring Hong Kong beef hofan, we walked around Sheung Wan.

This is Wing Lok Street in Sheung Wan. There are many Chinese herb stores and dried seafood shops.

Upper Lascar Row

We headed to Upper Lascar Row which is not far away from Wing Lok Street.

Upper Lascar Row is a narrow lane with many stores selling antiques and used stuffs.

Many antiques and secondhand goods are available at Upper Lascar Row such as fans, clocks, statues and many more.

Hollywood Road

After Upper Lascar Row, we moved to Hollywood Road which is extending to Queen Street West.

Man Mo Temple

The Man Mo Temple is located at Hollywood Road. It's under renovation during our visit to Hong Kong.

Ladder Street

Same as its name, Ladder Street is a street with ladder.

Ladder Street

Ladder Street is a popular location for Hong Kong movies and television dramas filming.

Caine Road

We walked up to the top of Ladder Street and reached Caine Road. We strolled along Caine Road to Central of Hong Kong.

From Macau To Hong Kong


Hong Kong

During our Macau trip, we headed to Hong Kong on third day of the trip.

Macau Outer Harbor

We went to Hong Kong by boarding a turbojet ferry from ferry terminal at Macau Outer Harbor.

Turbojet Ferry

This is the photo of the turbojet ferry me boarded from Macau to Hong Kong.

Turbojet Ferry Ticket

The economy class ticket price of turbojet ferry was HK148.00. The price of the ticket of day trip and night trip were different.

Shun Tak Heliport

The ferry arrived in Hong Kong and anchored at Shun Tak Heliport. The traveling time from Macau to Hong Kong by turbojet ferry was around 55 minutes.

Shun Tak Heliport

Besides turbojet ferry, helikopter service is also available for passengers travel between Macau and Hong Kong.

Western Market

Western Market is a shopping complex located opposite Shun Tak Heliport. We were running out of time so we didn't enter Western Market.

Hong Kong

It's happened that a tram was passing by when we were at the footbridge crossing from Shun Tak Center to New Market Street.

Beef Hofan

We savored lunch at a food court near Westrern Market. Arr......we had waited for quite long for this beef hofan to be served.

Chinese Tea

Chinese tea was supply free of charge for diner. You can drink the tea or use it to wash chopsticks.

Drain

The stuff with many holes was the cover of drain under dining table. After washing the chopsticks, the tea can be poured into the drain.

Pinnacles Desert Video




Pinnacles Desert was one of the destinations during our visit to Western Australia.

I had shared the photos of Western Australia trip. Now I am uploading a video clip of Western Australia Pinnacles Desert.

The distance between Perth and Pinnacles Desert is around 254 km. That's why it takes one whole day for a round trip from Perth to Pinnacles.

Sand surfing is the activity you shouldn't miss when you are visiting Pinnacles Desert. There are many fancy ways of sand surfing. The easiest way is just sit on the surf board and slide down the sand dune.

Besides sand surfing, you can try four wheel drive bus bumpy drive. The bus goes down and up the sand dune. The Pinnacles desert bumpy drive is truly exciting.

Fraser Hill Bird Interpretive Center


Bird Interpretive Center

After savoring lunch at Scott Restaurant, we dropped in Fraser Hill Bird Interpretive Center.

Fraser Hill Tourism Complex

Bird Interpretive Center is at the first floor of Tourism Complex which is opposite Scott Restaurant and Puncak Inn in the mini town of Fraser Hill.

Mugimaki Flycatcher

Bird Interpretive Center is a gallery of local and migratory bird species in Fraser Hill. Detail information on birds found in Fraser Hill is available at Bird Interpretive Center.

Hornbills

Many bird photos and specimens are displayed at Bird Interpretive Center.  Among the birds can be watched in Fraser Hill are doves, eagles, hornbills, pheasants, hawk-cuckoo, blue hill flycatcher and mugimaki flycatcher.

Bird Interpretive Center

This is the label of a CD which I bought in Fraser Hill. In case you are a bird lover, you can buy "The Natural Sounds of Fraser Hill". The price of the CD was RM 30. Receipt was not given, even though I requested for it.

Bird Interpretive Center

Entrance to Bird Interpretive Center is free of charge. The center is only open during week end from 10 am to 7 pm. During week days, visitors can get help from Puncak Inn staffs.

Bird Interpretive Center

Don't miss the change to visit Bird Interpretive Center when you are around Fraser Hill. Especially visitors with family should visit the center because it will strengthen the relations among family members.

Fraser Hill Scott Restaurant

We headed to Scott Restaurant for lunch after enjoying aroma coffee at Smoke House.

Located at the mini town of Fraser Hill, Scott Restaurant is also a building with England cottages architectural element.

Seafood Fried Rice

We shared a plate of seafood fried rice. This seafood fried rice served by Scott Restaurant was truly delicious.

English Tea

We had coffee at Smoke House that morning and savored English tea after taking lunch at Scott Restaurant.

Scott Restaurant

The cashier counter of Scott Restaurant is quiet distinctive. Not sure whether the counter is similar to the restaurants in England.

Antique Clock

There was an antique clock on the wall of Scott Restaurant. This unique antique clock revealed the vintage scenario of Scott Restaurant.

Besides the antique clock, this wooden shoe was displayed as a flower vase. The wooden shoe reminded me of the Simonehoeve wooden shoes in Netherlands.

This is the mini garden outside Scott Restaurant. Visitors can have refreshment and observing the beautiful scenery of Fraser Hill in the garden.

Kuala Lipis Residency Building


Residency Building

Residency Building was built in 1922 and located at the top of Resident Hill in Kuala Lipis.

The building was the residential of British Officers during the British occupancy in Pahang.

Hugh Clifford was the first occupant of Residency Building who was the Resident of British Colonial in Pahang.

Residency Building was remained as dwelling building for British Residents until the outbreak of World War Two from 1942 to 1945.

From 1950 to 1965, Kuala Lipis Residency Building was turned into a hostel for Clifford School pupils.

After that, Residency Building was desolated before using as government rest house in 1983.

In 1983, Lipis Museum Corner was set up at Residency Building for displaying cultural and historical information of Kuala Lipis.

During our visit to Residency Building in 2013, the building have become a lodging place that’s Resident Inn.

According to a woman me met at Residency Building, there were workers of Penjom Gold Mine staying at Resident Inn.

Kuala Lipis Clifford School

We dropped by Clifford Secondary School during our visit to Kuala Lipis.

This photo shows the location of Clifford Secondary School. The School is located by the riverside of Lipis River.

Clifford Secondary School was built in 1913 to commemorate the British Resident, Hugh Clifford.

Based on this notice board in the school compound, Clifford Secondary School is a reputable clusters school.

The school had achieved excellent performance for years under the guidance of the principal and the efforts of dedicated teachers.

Clifford School Malay Hostel

This is a heritage building in Clifford Secondary School. It was completed in 1926 to accommodate Malay pupils. That's why the building was named as Malay Hostel.

The Malay Hostel is still remained perfectly till now. Currently, the building has transformed into classrooms for teaching activities.
