Pengerang Tanjung Pengelih Marina Jetty

Marina Jetty

Marina Jetty is located at Tanjung Pengelih of Pengerang in South-Easten Johor. Distance between TLDM Base and Jetty Marina is not far. It's not more than 5 minutes drive from TLDM Base to Jetty Marina.

Marina Jetty is the gateway to Pengerang from Singapore. Tourists from Singapore go to Pengerang by ferry from Changi Jetty. From Marina Jetty, they will proceed to Sungai Rengit to savoring seafood by taxi. In case you have booked a hotel room, you can request for providing transfer from Marina Jetty.

A few companies offer ferry services. I wished to take a few photos on the information of the ferry companies but a Malaysia Immigration officer did not allow me to do so. Marina Jetty is not a navy or army base, that officer seemed to be brainless.

Every Grain Of Rice

Paddy

Do you know the value of every grain of rice?

Ever grain of rice is blood, sweat and tears of paddy farmers. We should be grateful to paddy farmers for providing us food.

During my visit to Sekinchan, incidentally the paddy farmers in Sekinchan began the transplant of rice seedlings. It's truly strange that this work still done by workers. I found out the actual story after the explanation of the boss of the rice mill.

Paddy Transplanter

Nowadays, the transplant of rice seedlings has been mechanized. Those rice seedlings which are unhealthy have to be replaced manually.

This was the rice transplant machine which was displayed at the rice mill. I missed the opportunity of seeing the workers transplanting rice seedlings. If not I would shoot a few photo to share with you.

You have to travel around to widen your vision. Or else you will be a well frog.

Dance OF Golden Snake

Snake

"Dance of Golden Snake" is my favorite Chinese music.

I didn't expect it turned out as one of the works of Nie Er who was the composer of People's Republic of China national anthem "March of the Volunteers".

Get rid of the old to make way for the new is the custom of Chinese celebrating Lunar New Year. Hopefully during the Golden Snake Year, Malaysians dare to change the old government and achieve the two-party system.

Malaysia needs change for better tomorrow.

Diftong And Vocal Berganding

Diftong

I was shocked to know that SJKC year 3 pupils have to learn diftong and vokal berganding in Bahasa Malaysia.

Who is the crazy person made this stupid decision?

What are diftong and vokal berganding?

Diftong: ai, au, oi.
Example: tupai, pisau, sepoi.

Vokal berganding: aa, ai, au, ia, iu, ua, ui.
Example: saat, naik, lauk, diam, tiup, jual, duit.

How to differentiate diftong and vokal berganding?

Diftong: Read as one syllable and pronounce fast. Kedai=ke+dai, pulau=pu+lau, amboi=am+boi.

Vokal berganding: Have to read seperately as two syllables. baik=ba+ik, kaum=ka+um, liar=li+ar, luas=lu+as.

Year 3 pupils are small kids. They are not phonetics experts. In fact they know the syllables and able to read simple words of BM, that's more than enough.

Sabah KK Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh

Yu Kee

Yu Kee Coffee Shop is the most crowded eatery at Gaya Street of KK in Sabah.

A photo speaks a thousand words. The well known bak kut teh of Yu Kee attracts hundreds of customers daily.

Bak Kut Teh

This is the photo of Yu Kee bak kut teh. How's the taste of Yu Kee bak kut teh? Well it depends on your taste buds. I dare not to comment. If compare with the bak kut teh which I had taken before, Yu Kee bak kut teh is nothing special.

Based on my observation, most of the diners are tourists from China. According the information from the locals, the KK city folks seldom visit Yu Kee Coffee Shop. It shows that the patrons of Yu Kee are mainly tourists.
